Audi S3
|
Yet another peformance car built on the Golf platform will be available from early 2007 in the shape of the incredible Audi S3.
Audi's new S3 features the same 2.0 litre FSI petrol engine as the latest Golf GTi, but it has been significanlty tweaked to increase bhp from 197 in the Golf to 256 in the Audi. | | The S3 will have a permanent four wheel drive system and all the other performance features you would expect; lowered suspension, 6-speed gearbox, larger wheels, larger brakes etc. Performance is claimed to include a 0-60 time well under 6 seconds, and an electronically limited top speed of 155mph which should be more than enough for most users. | | The new car sounds fantastic, and you might expect that it's going to be a great alternative to its sibling, the Golf GTI, however the only down side is that the Audi will cost close to ?0,000 wheras even the most expensive Golf would set you back around twenty thousand.
