BMW X3 Revamped
|
The BMW X3 hasn't been popular with everyone, and as a result it's getting a makeover by BMW. Changes are said to include a re-styling, and significant alterations to the engines. The new vehicles will be in the showroom from late 2006.
The new X3 line up will include a 2.5 litre and 268bhp 3 litre petrol engines, plus a 3.0 litre diesel, and all versions should feature new, improved electronic traction and stability control systems. The diesel will very likely be the pick of the bunch thanks to its 428 ft lb of torque and 282 bhp. Despite the car's weight, that should allow it to accelerate from 0-60 in well under 7 seconds whilst returning over 32 mpg; those are fairly impressive figures for an off road capable 4x4. | | Styling changes will affect both the interior and exterior. | | Prices are not known at this time.
