Ford Focus 4x4

Ford are planning on extending their Focus range with a new 4x4 which should be in the showrooms before the end of next year.
The number of 4x4 cars on the roads has grown massively in recent years, and that's sufficient proof that there is an ever growing market for these vehicles.
The Focus, of course, won't be a huge Chelsea tractor like some, rather it will provide some of the benefits of 4 wheel drive in a more compact shell. It probably will stand somewhat taller than the current Focus, and will look a little more rugged than the mini people carrier C-Max.
The car is expected to use the 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre petrol engines shared with the rest of the Focus range.
We think the timing of Ford's release of this car, just before the winter months is great as buyers will appreciate the extra grip that the car will offer over the winter months. Conversely, this October sees the release of Ford's Focus CC - the convertible coupe variant of the Focus. We can't think of a worse time for the company to release a convertible, unless they're hoping that thousands of rag top owners will see it as a preferable option for them over the winter months.
