JCB to take on Hummer

JCB have developed a range of incredible 6.7 litre military spec vehicles, and shock of shocks, they're not yellow. The HMUV (High Mobility Utility Vehicle) features a 6.7 litre diesel engine and accordin to the company is a 'go-anywhere' vehicle.
JCB has recruited a number of experts from other motor manufacturers in order to build up the skills and knowledge to produce the HMUV.
The company insists it has no plans to develop these for road use, though of course that's what Hummer said about the Humvee. There are many who feel that it's only a matter of time before a major celebrity takes on the challenge of getting one of the giant vehicles converted for road use. Maybe this won't happen with the current line up, but JCB are said to also be working on slightly smaller versions and those might well find themselves on the roads one day.
